School Expansion Needed to Accommodate Growing Number of Students
Bright Future School serves as a bridge for low-income families and underprivileged children from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering a quality education, from nursery through primary levels, in a safe and conducive learning environment. The school also assists families in need by offering scholarships, and teachers receive ongoing training to enhance their skills and improve student understanding.
Unfortunately, while there is universal access to education in Tanzania, resources to support schools in lower income neighborhoods, where students need extra support, are scarce. The school, community, and individual donors contributed money to erect walls for new classrooms, in order to serve students more effectively, but additional funds were needed for roofing, constructing the toilet area, and finishing the classroom interiors.
Completed Construction Provides Improved and Expanded School Facilities
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to complete three new classrooms with roofing and to build a toilet area with seven stalls and a urinal trough. The new classes have relieved the number of students who were congested in one room and has made them enjoy the learning process, while the teachers can comfortably interact with them. This will influence their academic success and has allowed us to enroll more students at Bright Future.
