Refugee & Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Crisis Fund

Nearly one in three children living outside their country of birth is a refugee

More than 50% of the global refugee population is made up of children, many of whom have endured their entire childhoods in unfamiliar surroundings, often separated from their families. Refugee and internally displaced (a refugee within their own country) children are often subjected to violence and face heightened vulnerabilities such as abuse, neglect, violence, exploitation, trafficking, or recruitment into military activities. Right now, there are more than 43+ million children worldwide who have been forced from their homes by violent conflict, famine, disease, war, and natural disasters. Luena Foundation aims to help meet both the short-term needs (temporary shelter, food security, access to clean water, medical care) and the longer-term needs (resettlement, school integration, community connections) faced by refugee and IDP children all over the world.
