Poverty Leaves Children Malnourished

The Kacereere community is extremely poor as they depend solely on agriculture and crafts for income. Many of the children are malnourished, and the majority eat a meal only once a day.

Community Garden Improves Food Security and Health

The donation from Luena Foundation was used to purchase fruit and vegetable seeds in order to plant and maintain a garden. This provides nutritious vegetables and fruits to feed the growing children in the community, solving the problem of malnutrition.
