(Gaza, PALESTINE) In our ongoing efforts to help children in crisis, we have spent months researching grassroots organizations to identify a partner for our campaign in Gaza. We are pleased to announce our collaboration with Kinder Relief, a small organization that shares our core values of integrity and compassion for those in need. Kinder Relief is a diverse coalition of passionate individuals from around the world, dedicated to providing medical care and essential support to children affected by the conflict in Gaza. Their team on the ground, consisting of doctors, nurses, emergency workers, and volunteers, is making a difference where it is needed most.
Together, Luena Foundation and Kinder Relief will be working on a project at Al-Rahmah Camp in Gaza, which currently shelters 450 displaced families who have lost their homes, possessions, and livelihoods. These families, already facing multiple displacements, are in dire need of the basic necessities to survive. The immediate needs include clean drinking water, food, clothing, and temporary shelter (tents). Israel’s near-total siege on Gaza has created severe shortages of these essentials, and children are dying of hunger, thirst and preventable illnesses.
Luena Foundation will donate $5,000 USD to support this life-saving project, but that’s not nearly enough. With your help, we hope to be able to grow this fundraising campaign to $10,000 so that we can reach even more families.
