Flooding Leaves Many Families at Risk

Severe flooding in spring 2024 displaced thousands of families in the areas around Nairobi and particularly in informal settlements. Some families were sheltered temporarily at Wendani Primary School, but it was extremely difficult to obtain enough food to support all of the displaced families.

Emergency Food Relief Supports Families in Need

The donation from Luena Foundation was used to purchase supplies, including maize flour, rice, beans, and dry maize that could feed 113 displaced families who were sheltering at Wendani Primary School.
