Financial Challenges Threaten Program Stability

The Creative Thespians Afrikanas has limited financial support and sometimes struggles to pay electricity and water bills or to provide nutritious meals to young people who are participating in the organization’s educational programs. To provide better stability, Creative Thespians wanted to generate a new and reliable income stream.

Design Program Generates New Income

The donation from Luena Foundation was used to purchase two powerful computers for designing artwork, one plotter for cutting the artwork as specified by clients, and one heat press machine to apply graphics to items such as t-shirts, sweaters, caps, jerseys, uniforms, etc. This design and printing program has created work for many of the young people in Creative Thespians’ programs and generates income that has helped the organization to pay utility bills and provide meals consistently.
