Reading is Not a Priority
The non-prioritization of reading impacts education and the daily lives of farmers. The government takes the lack of libraries in public schools very lightly, and books are expensive. As a result, the quality of teaching in almost all public schools is poor, and reading is neglected.
Mobile Library Provides Resources for Multiple Needs and Interests
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to purchase a marquee, three folding tables, twelve folding chairs to facilitate open-air reading, and two hundred books to offer readers more choice. All village residents have free access to the mobile library, which includes many types of books on topics such as agriculture, livestock, cooking, wildlife, health, leadership, management, personal development, educational resources, and storybooks. Access to this library collections supports farmers with their methods and techniques, supports the knowledge of teachers and students, and supports other interests of all residents.
