Quality of Learning Impacted by Heat and Noise
Previously, during the afternoon session all the upper classes were hot which was making it difficult for the learners to concentrate. Apart from that, because the school is made of iron sheeting, the interruption of voices from one class to another brought disturbances and confusion during classes and when learners were moving from one classroom to another.
Facility Upgrades Improve Ventilation and Reduce Noise
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to fix cyclones in the ceilings, which act as good ventilators, and to affix plywood inside the classroom walls to prevent interruption of voices from one class to another.
Meet our Partner Community-Based Organization
Christ’s Victory Centre (CVC) is a registered Community-Based Organization that was established solely by a group of refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in September 2009. CVC is located along Thika Road in Githurai 45, right outside Nairobi, Kenya. The idea of creating CVC came from the revelation that our founders received from the Bible in the book of Jeremiah 29:5-7: “… I must contribute to the peace, development and prosperity of the host country” (Kenya).
