School Needs Help to Support Child Education and Safety

Pineapple Children’s Home Project operates a nursery on Lake Bunyonyi and, with support from donations, is gradually expanding to serve more students with a primary school. The location of the school is very remote, and it is accessed primarily by basic watercraft crossing Lake Bunyonyi. This can make it challenging to get sufficient supplies to the school, including food, or to access other needed services.

Salary and Supplies Enable School to Serve Students Consistently

The donation from Luena Foundation was used to pay five months of one teacher’s salary and to purchase food so that the school can provide nutritious meals to students, faculty, and staff through the end of the school term.
