Surgical Theatre and Newborn Unit Need Equipment
Through establishment, equipping, and operationalization of a modern and technologically advanced theatre and newborn unit at the hospital we are able to save lives and improve services to surgical patients and neonates.
Equipment Enhances Medical Services
The joint donation from Luena Foundation and Andrews Foundation was used to purchase a vital sign monitor and two laryngoscope 4 blade sets. Equipping the hospital’s surgical theatre with these items has improved access to quality affordable care at Mary Immaculate Hospital Mweiga and enhanced the quality of life for the vulnerable population. The joint donation also was used to purchase an infant radiant warmer. This has kept the newborns warm especially during seasons when the weather can get extremely cold.
