Rural Communities Lack Water Access
The community landscape of Kacereere Town Council is hilly and normally has a dry season and wet season annually. The distance to the nearest water source is too far to reach for day-to-day water use, so the villages in Kacereere Town Council struggle to maintain a sufficient water supply, especially during the dry season.
Water Tank Supports Community Sanitation and Wellbeing
The donation from Luena Foundation was used for construction of a water tank to collect rainwater during the wet season. The capacity of the tank allows the village to acquire enough water throughout the year. This water access will improve community sanitation and hygiene as well as the wellbeing of community members during the dry season.
