Children With Epilepsy Navigate Complex Needs and Barriers to Services
Children with epilepsy often face stigma, social exclusion, and limited access to education and healthcare. Chifundo Epilepsy Foundation brings valuable expertise and experience in epilepsy care and support and saw a need to establish a joint secondary school, safe space, and epilepsy center. By combining education, social support, and medical care, we aim to create a holistic support system that promotes academic excellence, social integration, and improved health outcomes. Our project will focus on providing individualized support, counseling, and training to children with epilepsy, their families, and caregivers. Our project’s overarching goal is to empower vulnerable children to reach their full potential, despite the challenges they face. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, healthcare, and social support, and we are committed to making this vision a reality.
New Multi-Purpose Facility Supports Vulnerable Students
The joint donation from Luena Foundation and Sumar Lakhani Foundation was used for construction expenses to start this comprehensive initiative aimed at providing vulnerable children with a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
