Limited Facilities Distract from Education
St. Stephens Nursery and Primary School located in the heart of Kasese Municipality, Uganda. The school strives to provide quality education to children in the community, but it faces significant challenges in providing adequate learning facilities. One of the most pressing issues is the lack of sufficient school desks, which hampers the pupils’ ability to learn effectively. With the increasing enrollment of pupils, the existing desks are inadequate, leading to overcrowded classrooms and uncomfortable seating arrangements. This situation not only affects the pupils’ concentration and academic performance but also their physical health, as they are forced to sit on the floor for extended periods.
School Desks Improve Learning Environment
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to purchase 50 school desks for St. Stephen’s Nursery and Primary School. Being able to accommodate students at classroom desks, instead of on the floor, improves the quality of their education and ensures that students can focus on their studies.
