Community Lacks Reliable Access to Clean Water
The community faces immense challenges due to the scarcity of water. The lack of access to clean and reliable water sources has led to increased competition for this precious resource, resulting in conflicts among community members. Women and children bear the brunt of this scarcity, spending hours each day walking long distances to fetch water, often from contaminated sources. This has significant implications for their health, education, and overall well-being. Furthermore, the scarcity of water has also impacted agricultural productivity, leading to food insecurity and economic hardship for many families.
Clean Water Access Improves Community Health and Well-being
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to construct a new water well, providing clean and reliable access to water for over 500 families. This has not only improved their health and hygiene but also increased agricultural productivity, leading to enhanced food security and economic stability. We are deeply grateful for the kindness and trust placed in us, and we are proud to report that every dollar donated has made a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
