Orphaned Girl Lacked Access to Healthcare and Nutrition
Michi Sarah is a nine year old girl from Paya village who was very sick almost to the point of dying, malnourished and impoverished. In 2022, Sarah, who is orphaned, was living with her grandmother in the village of Paya, and they would go without meals for many days. Because Sarah was very sick and weak, she was relocated to Entebbe by Pastor Winfred Owino who started to look after her while seeking help from other people. When we met her, she was six years old, weighed only 19 kilograms, was suffering from malaria and skin rashes from head to toe, and had never been to school.
Support Improves Health and Education
The donation from Luena Foundation was used to provide Sarah with proper medical care, bedding, clothing, food, and school fees for Nursery and Primary One. After getting help, Sarah is now a very strong, healthy, and happy girl who is enjoying her education in a boarding school and also she has clothes, good food, and comfortable bedding, which has greatly improved her health. She is always smiling and looking forward to a brighter future.
